Web Changes

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's

changed, take a look here first.

9 May 2008

While it has been some time since the most recent update, we have been working on cataloguing additions to the Collection

and expanding the PayPal Shopping Cart feature throughout the site. This remains a work in progress, but we have decided to upload the latest iteration of the site to make a great range of additional images from artists including Kay Nielsen, Dugald Walker,

Jessie M King and Erté available for viewing.

We are also able to show the first of a large suite of historically significant images from Der Weiss Kunig (which is effectively a

chronicle of the life of Emperor Maximilian I. As time permits, we will be adding each image from Der Weiss Kunig to the site.

To the best of our knowledge, when this project is complete, it will be the first time that the full suite of images (totally more than

230 illustrations) may be viewed online.

Cheers

21 December 2007

Approaching the Christmas holiday period and what better time could there be to upload some fantastic new images to the site and provide an enhanced shopping experience secured through PayPal Shopping Cart? We couldn't think of a better time, so we've done it now.

We are excited about the new images we will be able to share - those from the extremely rare Red Magic (as illustrated in monotone and colour by Kay Nielsen) and the monotone, duotone and colour work of Harry Clarke (included in Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen, The Year's at the Spring, Tales of Mystery and Imagination and Faust) provide a particular buzz. Our expectations are that others will share our interest.

While it has been quite a task to catalogue and update the design of the site, we hope that it will make for a more enjoyable experience.

Over the coming months, we expect further additions, so do check back and you are most welcome to drop us a message with your thoughts.

In the meantime, enjoy what holidays you experience and best of luck for the New Year.

Cheers

28 July 2007

The last month has been a busy time - we have done some redesign of the website and have greatly increased the number

of images that can be viewed. We are progressively working towards having every image in our collection available online.

In addition to that design work, we have also had the opportunity to update the site with some new arrivals, including images from

Dulac's contribution to The Bells and Other Poems, Rackham's work for The Tempest and new additions from Sulamith Wülfing and

Ida Rentoul Outhwaite.

Enjoy!

6 June 2007

From today, you will find some more lovely images throughout the site and we have opened a page dedicated to a new artist. We have added some images from the 1908 version of Faust illustrated by Papé. In addition, a new page has been dedicated to Maxfield Parrish and images added from his illustrations to The Arabian Nights (1909) as well as his contribution to King Albert's Book (1914).

Enjoy!

4 June 2007

Today, we have added some images from Frank C Papé's contribution to the 1910 publication, The Road to Spenser - Stories from the Faërie Queen. These images are wonderful examples of Papé's early colour illustrations.

31 May 2007

Today, we have added some images from Arthur Rackham's 1922 version of A Wonder Book. These images are both powerful and beautiful - as is typical of Rackham's work.

Over the coming weeks, we expect to be adding images from Maxfield Parrish's Tanglewood Tales and Arabian Nights in addition to some from Dulac's own version of Tanglewood Tales and Papé's contribution to The Road to Spenser - Stories from the Faërie Queen.

28 May 2007

Today, we have added some images from Willy Pogány's 1908 version of Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám. They are wonderful examples of Pogány's early work.

We have also had the opportunity to add colour images from Adrienne Ségur's Alice au pays des merveilles - the French adaptation of Carrolls' Alice in Wonderland.

We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

14 May 2007

Over the last few days we have been updating the site to be more adaptive to a range of screen and font settings with the expectation that most browser will now be able to view the images and text in correct alignment. This has been mainly a technical task, but we have also taken the opportunity to add some further images from Rackham's The Rhinegold and The Valkyrie and Dulac's Daughters of the Stars. We have also provided some examples of the framing options that we can offer in the revised 'Pricing and Payment' section on most pages.

12 April 2007

Current expectations are that we will have the opportunity to add some initial details and photos of a sample of our Collection of art and antiquities over the coming weeks. We have already begun by uploading some photos of framed objects, including pages from Liber Chronicarum, Cosmographia, Theuerdank and illuminated manuscripts. In addition, we have shown carved bone remnants from a 17th Century Processional Cross and a vintage oil or two from the Collection.

More will follow.

5 April 2007

Until further titles are added to our collection, we have finalised adding selected images to our Online Catalogue of Giftware.

The newest additions have been images from Warwick Goble for The Water-babies, but over the fortnight or so, we have also added images from Meteyard for The Golden Legend, Dulac for The Tempest and a number of images from Burne-Jones.

We trust you will not be spoiled for choice.

20 March 2007

We are nearing the end of bringing together our Online Catalogue of Giftware based on our current collection of 1st Edition Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite images.

Over the last few days, we have been able to display many beautiful images from Arthur Rackham, Kay Nielsen, Thomas Mackenzie and Paul Woodroffe. Some of the tales being illustrated by those images include: Barrie's Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens; Shakespeare's The Tempest and A Midsummer-Night's Dream; Wagner's Siegfried and The Twilight of the Gods and The Rhinegold and The Valkyrie; Chaundler's Arthur and His Knights; Undine; Fairy Tales by Hans Andersen; and a collection of Norse legends in East of the Sun and West of the Moon.

In the coming days, we expect to introduce some further images from Edward Burne-Jones' work for William Morris, in addition to exquisite illustrations from Edmund Dulac and Warwick Goble.

Soon after, we will also be able to include some select images from Sydney Meteyard's illustrations to Longfellow's The Golden Legend and begin providing an Online representation for our collection of Medieval, Renaissance, Gothic Revival, Pre-Raphaelite and Art Nouveau antiques.

Along the way, we will also be providing some written material about the various ancillary services we offer - such as Postage and Handling. In the meantime, of course, for all your enquiries, we would welcome email contact.

Cheers
