The Forgotten Daughter (1933) is a work of historic fiction by Caroline Snedeker. The tale is set in ancient Rome
and is woven around the events in the life of Chloë, the daughter of a Roman noble (the noble, Laevinus has
been tricked into believing that Chloë died at birth). Unknown to Laevinus, Chloë is being raised as the daughter
of a slave, Melissa. Through various events, Chloë is reunited with her father and the treachery involved in
deceiving both father and child is uncovered with Chloë reclaiming her noble heritage and true love.
Snedeker won a Newbery Honor for The Forgotten Daughter in 1934.
Lathrop's suite of illustrations includes one colour illustration and further eight well-conceived monotone
illustrations.

When presented on Greeting Cards, these images are prepared as tipped-on plates - in hommage to the hand-crafted
approach typical of prestige illustrated publications produced in the early decades of the 20th Century.
Hand-finishing is used to replicate the visual appearance of a tipped-on plate and the images are presented on
White card stock with an accompanying envelope. We have left the cards blank so that you may write your own
personal message.
Should you wish to order a Reproduction Print or an individual Greeting Card from this suite of images, we
