An illustration for Spenser's ''The Faërie Queene''
Pogány is known to have worked on a number of projects, including illustrations to accompany the classic Elizabethan
work by Spenser, The Faërie Queene.
This particular image is believed to be drawn from that series - and in all likelihood, it shows a scene from the tale of
"Una and the Red Cross Knight". Pogány's illustration is thought to depict the meeting between Una and Prince Arthur.
