Rhine-Maidens are particularly notable), Valkyrie (anamorphically
represented by Rackham), Dragons, Satyr, Hydra,
Trolls, Unicorns, Enchanted Hind, Chimæra, Genii,
Giants, Centaurs, Cerberus - the Black Dog of Hades, Minotaur,
Witches and Atlas.
The images are drawn from a variety of literary
inspiration, including Paradise Lost, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,
Undine, Wagnerian tales, Greek legend, Arthurian
myth, the work of Shakespeare, Norse legend, traditional Fairy tales,
Oriental fantasy, Elizabethan tales, the work of Dante
and Faust.
More than 70 splendid images are shown.
