An illustration for Shakespeare's "King John"
Pogány is known to have worked on a number of projects, including illustrations to accompany the classic Shakespearean work, King John.
This particular image is believed to be drawn from that series - and in all likelihood, it shows a scene from the tale wherein King John is endeavouring to enlist the services of Hubert de Burgh in the murder of the captured Prince Arthur.
