(London) in 1914.   This example retains the original black-, silver- and gold-stamped blue cloth cover.                   On the right, we show illustrated Title Page for The Dream-Pedlar.

The Dream-Pedlar was first published in 1914 - with the accompanying suite of illustrations by Florence Anderson - by

Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent & Co. (London). It is one of a number of children's books written by the English poet

and author, Lady Margaret Sackville.

Anderson's suite of illustrations for this commission was her first major published work. Further opportunities followed

and she was fortunate enough to have numerous illustrated suites produced throughout the following decade with a

variety of publishers.

Our Greeting Cards and Reproduction Prints

When presented on Greeting Cards, these images are prepared as tipped-in plates - in hommage to the hand-crafted

approach typical of prestige illustrated publications produced in the early decades of the 20th Century. Each card is

hand-finished and and the images are presented on Ivory card stock with an accompanying envelope. The rear of each

card carries information about Florence Anderson, this wonderful suite and the profiled illustration - we have left the

interior of the cards blank so that you may write your own personal message.
