Fairyland (1931)

 

To the left, we show a rare deluxe copy of Fairyland - illustrated by Outhwaite and published by A & C Black, Ltd (London) in 1931 - showing the decoratively gilt stamped green leather cover.

decorative Title Page to Fairyland.

 

Fairyland was published by A& C Black, Ltd (London) in 1931 as one of the most lavish of their luxury editions. It was

produced in an oversized format - pages were 33 x 25cm (10 x 8") - leather bound with gilt decoration and edging to

each page and included 47 significant illustrations (16 were in colour accompanied by a further 31 full-page monotone

images) by Outhwaite.

 

Details on the vintage plates available for sale appear throughout the page that follows and purchase is as simple as clicking

the "Add to Cart" icon and proceeding with payment through PayPal.

 

We have also developed a range of Giftware that includes images reproduced from many of the 1st Edition plates in our

collection to ensure the most accurate form, line and colour possible. We have utilised a high definition capture and

reproduction technique for the images - in contrast to the low definition representation necessary for this website. The

illustrations are available as cards, infants' clothing, T-shirts and unmatted, matted or framed prints (8x6", 10x8", 12x10",

15x10" and 30 x 20" images sizes). Pricing starts at US$4 for single Gift Cards (US$18 for select packs of 6) and 10 x 8" prints
