''Peri Banu and Prince Achmed''

This wonderful example of the matured art of Dulac is typical of the high Art Nouveau aesthete that characterized those

pieces prepared in the latter part of his career.

Depicting two characters from Persian myths and legends like The Arabian Nights, Dulac has masterfully interpreted the

classic tales in a manner that is similar to the technique he applied for those illustrations published in Gods and Mortals in

Love (1935). It provides a wonderful romantic effect.
